Nice quiet free camp near Daly Waters, at last a blamy night and it was off with the sleeping bag. Went into Daly Waters to have a look around and take a few photos. Unique little spot and lots of very interesting memorabilia. On the way to Mataranka we stopped for lunch at “Fran’s Home Made Pies’ at Larrimah – very, very nice….. If Dad hadn‘t been such a great pastrycook and made the best pies I have ever eaten then I would have to give Fran the “nod” – she was a very close 2nd. Camped at Mataranka Homestead Caravan Park for tonight and have already had a swim in the thermal pool – much nicer than the last time I was here, (Maybe the company!!!) lovely crystal clear flowing warm water & no bats – quite hot now and am sitting under the awning in my bathers.
