23rd July 2011 - Darwin

Nice quiet day in Darwin today.  The boys went and had a look at the East Point Military Museum which had displays of the bombing of Darwin.  Joy & I decided to go for a drive to find an "op shop" and catch up on a little retail therapy. (Joy got herself heaps of $1 bargains.....I only got a $3 pair of jeans - still happy). After that we all headed down to Fisherman's Wharf and got some lovely Barra which we took and ate sitting on the grass in the gardens overlooking the bay.  My lunch was a magnificent "Barra Burger" which I haven't had before and thoroughly enjoyed. Very nice. Back to the Caravan Park for a swim and onto happy hour, so relaxed I may just fall apart..........
