13th July 2011 - ALICE SPRINGS

Off to explore Alice Springs - first stop the Tourist Information then heading out to Standley Chasm.  Unfortunately the rain has set in so we didn't even get out of the car. Going back into Alice Springs to have a look at the Telegraph Station.....another no go.  Too much rain and too stodgy underfoot.  Joy & I are going shopping and the guys are going to have a look at the Transport Museum, which had information on the old Ghan and also lots of Mack Trucks ,Kenworths, Old Roadtrains, you name it and they had it...real "boys toys".  They thoroughly enjoyed it so that is all that matters. Joy and  had a hit of retail therapy so all happy......Tonight we are cooking up a big pot of Butter Chicken for the lot of us and tomorrow we head off  towards Wycliffe Well.
