7th July 2011 - 50kms Sth Erldunda - Curtain Springs Homestead

Beautiful, beautiful morning.  Drove into Erldunda and rang the Estate Agent.  Confirmation that Eltham is sold and settlement is 5th August....YIPPEE.  Couldn't have timed it better if I sat down and did a "spreadsheet".  Pulled into the free camp at Curtain Springs Homestead which is about 85kms before Ayers Rock.  Met up with a nice couple (Jim & Rhonda) from Geelong and started up a campfire and sat around yakking until around 9.30 - that's a late one for us.  Last night we were tucked up in bed reading at 7.00pm.  Although in our defense it was freezing cold, miserable and there were mice everywhere.  Tomorrow we will go into Yalara (Ayers Rock) for 2 nights which will be good to catch up on everything.  Above pictures were taken between Erldunda and Ayers Rock and the rock in the background is Mt.
